Olaide Banks is an Anguillian-born singer/songwriter whose music explores relationships, faith and social Justice.
He was raised on the Caribbean island of Anguilla and is currently based in Houston, Texas. Banks’ sound is a unique blend of reggae, soul, Latin jazz and bluesy rock.
Olaide is the brother of Omari Banks and the son of Bankie Banx, who is the subject of the new documentary “Banie Banx: King of the Dune”, which screens at BoomFest on the afternoon of Feb. 22.
Olaide Banks is a frequent collaborator with Guitarist Corey Stoot and they perform together as Olaide Banks Band. He is also an entertainment attorney practicing in Houston, Texas.
