It was an exhilarating four days of films, bands, artists, and more at the 10th Annual Boomtown Film & Music Festival hosted February 23 – 26, 2017. We had a wide assortment of films submitted this year and we also revived the screenplay category we had in early years of the festival. Here are the list of winners in each category of the contests.

Prepper: James is a high school teacher living the typical suburban life until realizing that it wouldn’t take much for society to collapse.

Midnight Oil: The Making of a Mural: The journey of a West Texas artist as she researches, designs and paints a large mural depicting the history of oil discovery in the Permian Basin.
